I actually attempted (and hopefully succeeded) in getting the Total Overhaul (https://modding-openmw.com/lists/total-overhaul/) working.
Even though I want a new experience, I am still old-school at heart, so I've got some classics installed as well (Creatures XI, Giants, The WIlderness Mod). However, I'm currently looking for a companion mod called Ninja Girl - Kumiko's Revenge, but I can't find any working download link for it. Any guidance to that mod would be most appreciated. Would it (and the others) be compatible with the Total Overhaul?
Also, if there are any suggestions for some more classics that would also be compatible, I'd be happy to hear of them! In the past, I seem to have started out a Morrowind game, but never got real far save for my very first character, so I still haven't played through many of them... Laura Craft, Julan, The Underground, White Wolf of Lokken Mountain, etc. On the Mod Status page, I see that some are compatible with OpenMW, but I don't really know how to find out if they are compatible with the Total Overhaul. And I'm hoping the Total Overhaul means I'm in it for the Long Haul, so I'd like to experience what I've been missing!
