How to get 4.9?

Seen some rumblings here and there that suggests 4.9 is out and playable? If so were can i get it?

There is no 4.9. There's also no 0.49 (i.e. the 49th release in the 0 series - they're not decimals) yet, but it's what we're working on. If you want to try a test version, there are development builds available for some platforms on our downloads page but these aren't exactly what we'll end up releasing as 0.49.
