OpenMW ported to the Nintendo switch

Post by thephantomfiddler »

So just today someone published their port of openmw to the Nintendo switch to gbatemp: https://gbatemp.net/threads/openmw-for-switch.540250/
According to the author the performance is not very good right now, but overall playable.

They can if they want to, but why? Morrowind is a game, OpenMW is an engine that will runs games. Different scope. It means that any games that work with OpenMW will also be playable on the switch.

Skywind != Morrowind.

If that were true, alot more people would be playing skywind instead of Morrowind. Skywind just doesn't have the same aesthetics as the original Morrowind. (Though I will admit, skywind is an amazing project, and will probably run better than openmw on the switch currently)
