Hi, I am phillipedison1891 on the forums and bug tracker and PhillipAnd on GitHub. I just submitted pull request #1129 making some minor tweaks to the build environment that were necessary to get it working on my system. My plans right now are to work on AI issues and hunt down discrepancies between vanilla and OpenMW behavior (I've found a few already).
Offline, I'm a software engineer under contract to the United States Geological Survey, which keeps me busy for 40+ hours a week, but I'll try to contribute as much as I can.

Well hello there! I guess you're familiar with GDAL?phillipedison1891 wrote:Offline, I'm a software engineer under contract to the United States Geological Survey, which keeps me busy for 40+ hours a week, but I'll try to contribute as much as I can.

Not really, actually. I work on the Landsat project and we write only straight to GeoTIFF using the native library. What our customers do with that data is their business.psi29a wrote: Well hello there! I guess you're familiar with GDAL?
You can check out http://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/ to take a look at our end product. I think you have to make an account though.

Yes, that is how I found PagoPago and created OpenMW's PoC that became the basis of our Example Suite:

The data came from NOAA National Geophysical Data Center which I used GDAL to manipulate then finally converted into LAND/TEX for Morrowind/OpenMW terrain.
We also use GDAL for importing and exporting to http://world-engine.org/, so I've been through a lot of GIS data for the past couple of years.
And yes, I already have an account.
