I want to request developers and team members log in to the OpenMW YouTube account when uploading videos. PM eldertroll on the forums and I'll send you the username and password for the account. Here is the reasoning behind having people upload to the OpenMW account directly:
1) It keeps our videos in a central location.
2) If you upload it to your personal channel I have to try to remix it (which hasn't worked yet), or download the video from your youtube channel to my computer (at a lower resolution than you uploaded), then reupload it to the OpenMW account
3) Don't worry about messing up the video order, I'll keep things organized.
Uploading videos to youtube
Re: Uploading videos to youtube
I thought remixing worked for 0.12.0?
Still, I think it's much better to have everything uploaded directly to the official channel.
Want me to uploaded the 0.12.0 vid to the channel or just let that one go?

No, I think my work around was "liking" it so it showed up in the feed. You could upload it, but the audio was distracting. You're 0.13.0 is pretty polished. I'd say don't worry about it. True OpenMW groupies can find it if they dig around. Jhooks1's video of npc animation I had to download and reupload.
Re: Uploading videos to youtube
I too would like access, just to clean up videos (spelling, grammar, that sort of thing)
Re: Uploading videos to youtube
Here is a few quick tips and copy pastas for the videos. (i have already taken the liberty of doing it for the current videos)
Remove the file extension from the title (.mp4 .avi etc)
These are all our important links and if someone stumbles across our videos from the related video section, we can get more interest and more people will find us. More possibility of being looked at by Game journalists and such. We have a healthy developer field now, but more Testers = more bugs found.

Re: Uploading videos to youtube
Finally someone took the ime to clean up stuff like that... You should add moddb link and facebook as well for likes
Re: Uploading videos to youtube
ah thanks, I will do.
Only took a couple minutes to write it up/copy paste links then paste it onto each one
the little things can make all the difference. It would be crazy awesome to have an army of bug testers.
Edit: Don't think we had a facebook page? Link me if we do!

Re: Uploading videos to youtube
I think troll made official group like two days ago.. And yes i forgot to say you can also add more tags
Re: Uploading videos to youtube
generally you can get a lot from Youtube's generated tags and add extra stuff specifically to the video, like for instance in the physics demo video, you would add "physics" and animation for animation demos etc.
we can always change it later on
