Tamriel-Rebuilt UESP Map

Post by TamrielRebuilt » 24 Nov 2015, 00:48

Team Tamriel-Rebuilt would like to announce our new UESP map. This map shows the current version of Mainland Morrowind. This includes data from both the TR_Mainland.esm and TR_Preview.esp files.

We will be updating this map as work progresses.
Hope you like it.

Thank you for taking the time to post here! You're (everyone's) work is simply amazing!

I hope that we can work hand-in-glove in making sure that TR runs as good if not better on OpenMW than on Morrowind itself. ;)

Very nice indeed, thank you!
Some pirates achieved immortality by great deeds of cruelty or derring-do. Some achieved immortality by amassing great wealth. But the captain had long ago decided that he would, on the whole, prefer to achieve immortality by not dying

This is really nice!
Has anyone tried to run TR on OpenMW yet?

Given that there have been special specific bug linked with TR in the bug tracker, it is sure that some people have used TR with OpenMW.

Given that none of these bugs are still open, TR should work correctly with OpenMW

Woah, so about 70% of the province is done? How are the interiors?

Nopenope. I don't know what exactly is going on, but they are stuck at about 40% and want to overhaul 20% (the Telvanni lands, Indoril), but can't justify doing it before they have completed everything. The alpha map is an empty husk of land, buildings, rocks, trees and a few NPCs without dialogue. In the past they have kept redoing and redoing some stuff.

It seems now the focus is to discuss everything through and try to do it correct the first time. This takes a while and the team is small with the popularity of Morrowind slowly waning.

My naive guess is that it's a process issue.
They have a name generator, but that's the only tool they seem to be using.
They could for instance have a wiki for storyboarding little one off quests.
I'd love to see their files up on github so we can track their progress, and it would be easier for people to check out dailys.

Something openmw-cs can help with is how they do the actual editing. If we can free up any of the boring repetitive tasks that they're doing in the construction set, or make it easy to create/import a large number of characters/objects/etc.. all at once, then they'll have time to focus on the actual artistic parts of the project.

We should really ask them how we can help!
