Tag has been applied. Please start building the packages.

Unless we hear from WeirdSexy about delays/problems I suggest we wait for the video before we do the actual release.

Windows release packages available here:

32-bit
64-bit

Note that I'm not at my computer so can't test the builds myself, but there shouldn't be any issues.

Hey guys, sorry but it's a holiday (long) weekend here in the U.S. and I've been out of town. I won't be able to start on a release video until later in the week. Definitely it will probably get done by the end of next weekend. So, you might want to go ahead with the release without waiting for the video.

One week isn't too long to wait, what do you think Zini?

Eh... I guess I should then play the devil's advocate? I mean, I don't mind waiting either way, but someone's gotta do it, right? :p

I'll argue there should be a release ASAP. In the end, a video is nice, but people are not waiting for the video; they want the release. A video is just effective advertisement and something to show off. Not having one yet has not been a show stopper in the last two versions, so I don't see why it should be one now. Besides, that way the developers can completely focus on 0.37.0 instead of having 0.36.0 still floating around somewhere.

I really look forward to the videos, I currently can't play any OpenMW releases due to borked Ogre packages on my distro / version. So the video's are a nice way to visually see what's new with each OpenMW release. Although I don't think waiting for the video just to release 0.36 is necessary so long as a video is posted at some point :)

Just go ahead and get the release going. It would have been nice to release 0.36.0 with a video. But it doesn't hurt us, if the video follows a couple of days later.
