Re: Morrowind Definitive Edition

As someone who suffers from a common form of red-green colorblindness, I have to say this is a rather poor combination of colors to distinguish between different statuses. It's doable, but instead of a glance it requires a pointless amount of focus for me. The green specifically looks to me visually too close to both the other colors, especially to the orange one.

I was wondering if it might be a problem for some people, the mouse over text should help but I will tweak the colours a bit more.

I changed the colours slightly and increased the size to make it a little more clear, let me know if it is better for you now. Hopefully one day everything will be green and working.

The wiki page quite nice, but what about using different symbols?
E.g.: Star, Square,Triangle, Circle? It would workaround all kind of color blindness, even grave ones.

Do you think something like this would be better?

Actually, I think simple shapes like these might be a good idea, as it may be easier to recognize.

(Is there any reason why we shouldn't trim the transparent pixels?)

In line with comments on the ultimate troll thread I have updated the symbols again, this time using different shapes for each status as well as colours.

I think this is the best place to talk about mods on OpenMW and Morrowind in general. I'm going to lock the other thread after I merge some things over.

You forgot to make the background on Green.png transparent. The edge smoothing also seems to be a bit off.

Exactly, lovely. I agree with onionland that the background should be transparent, but it is really minor.
