Mac mods not working (0.43 and 0.44)

One day, (without changing anything at all to my mods folder or the config file) I opened OpenMW to find all of my mods missing from the data files tab. It's been about 2 weeks now. 0.44 came out, and .omwaddon files work now. I've triple checked openmw.cfg and my mods folder. Anybody have any idea what happened and how to fix it? Thanks.
