21:9 3440x1440 doesn't display correctly

I haven't seen anyone try to play OpenMW at 3440x1440 but basically my game is very blurry at this resolution, like the game is running in a lower resolution and upscaled to 3440x1440. Bad aliasing even with 8x AA, text is blurry, the display is shimmery, etc. And when I take a screenshot, it comes out perfectly clear and looks significantly better to the in-game image. My other monitor is also 21:9 but 2560x1080, OpenMW looks normal on it at that resolution. has anyone else experienced this?

Not that anyone seems to care since I seem to be the only person on the planet trying to run OpenMW at this resolution but I found that in my settings.cfg OpenMW always resets to 2752x1152, so it's running at that res and upscaling to 3440x1440. I can't get it to actually run at 3440x1440.

Is this a bug or unfinished feature or what? Someone help me out here.

I just tried running OpenMW at that resolution to see what would happen, and it was cropped down to 1080p, which is the native resolution of my monitor. I'm not sure if that's intended behaviour, as running at above-native resolution is something OpenGL can do and effectively results in SSAA. It's also possible that for whatever reason, OpenMW caps the vertical resolution at 1080p, but that doesn't seem sensible to me. You should probably make an issue report on our bug tracker.

if using Nvidia, couldn't it be an issue with DSR factors?
I don't know it it supports 21:9 ratios when enabled, though i kinda remember it's possible to specify custom resolutions in the control panel.
