i need help

im cant access openmw settings.cfg it shows a white paper icon im trying to put mods on it so i need to access the settings.cfg im using mac sierra

Have you tried opening it with Notepad or similar program?

i can try a notepad what do i open the notepad up with ?

also i have a mac osx so notepadd doesnt work is there any alternative for notepadd with mac?

If you are on Mac, you have 2 main options:

- Use TextEdit which comes with MacOS -> but remember to go into Preferences and select "Plain text" and disable "Smart quotes"
- Install a good text editor like sublime, atom or VSCode.

I'd recommend the last one. Using homebrew it's very easy.
