Hey guys,

I've been trying to install OpenMW and I can't seem to get the launcher to run.

I'm on Windows 10.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

What happens exactly when you try to run the launcher? Any errors?

Absolutely nothing happens, User Account Control message asks me for the permission to run it, I click Yes and.... Nothing.

The setup "OpenMW-0.42.0-win64.exe"? That seems to finish just fine.

Or do you mean "openmw-wizard.exe"? That doesn't run either.

Try executing the wizard. When you do you'll need to browse to your Morrowind.esm (or .bsa, srry, don't remember now) and import your Morrowind.ini configuration.

Also, could it be some antivirus blocking the .exe?

Like I said, "openmw-wizard.exe" won't run either.

Unless the files got corrupted by some odd reason seems that something is blocking them.
In those case when I can't run a binary, I try to run the exe from the shell to see if something happens, or check if any log file is created. Under `my documents` an OpeMW folder should appear, but since you haven't been able to run the wizard not sure you'll find anything.

I've tried multiple different releases too, so I doubt they were corrupted.

Unless I'm missing something obvious?

I just downloaded "OpenMW-0.42.0-win64.exe" off of github and ran through that and then I'm stuck. I'm not missing anything?

Not, you are not.

I am sorry I cannot be of more help. Other than what already has been proposed, next thing is to go into the Events Viewer and check if you can see anything there. But this is not easy.

Also, I went into googling and found this https://www.reddit.com/r/ElderScrolls/c ... 10_64_bit/, so someone else had trouble on Win10 and it was the antivirus. Here in the forums, no one else has reported problems win Win10.
So I have to assume is something very specific with your machine.
Please, change the subject of the thread to include the "Win10" keyword, maybe then someone else with an idea sees it.
