No sound and no GUI labels

Post by GreyFox »

Hi,

I followed the instructions on https://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title ... ux_Install to install openmw on xubuntu 14.04. I get it it running however there is no sound and all GUI elements from menus show up empty(buttons are empty boxes, and I can not type anything). Do I have to modify morrowind.ini somehow?

Have you read the note at the beginning of the instruction?

Alright, thanks. Been a while since I played Morrowind. Your project is great, I might join the coding team.

Hey ZoeTrent! Welcome to the forums!

Perhaps they are referring to:
Note: In recent versions of OpenMW, the launcher includes an installation wizard which automates the process of getting the data files from a retail disk. Use of this installation guide is therefore discouraged and may not work for all Morrowind versions out there.
