Question about wireframe and non-visable texture rendering

I noticed that if you toggle wireframe on vanilla there is a red wireframe layer under the cities above the water thats undereverywhere that you can see if you turn off collision.

I noticed openmws isnt like that. Im wonder if the red is something to do with the bottom not being rendered, and if some of the fps problems of openmw is due to the rendering of the water and textures not visable.

I dont know what im taking about but thought i would just being it up anyways.

and i noticed fps is generally fine indoors like 3x higher
