Xubuntu 14.04 openMW won't start

Installed today from ppa - when I start from launcher the outline of a window appears briefly and then disappears. I'm attaching the ogre logs - hope you can get me started...

Brother brick you can move the libsdl from the daily repo to stable for trusty and utopic, that will fix this until the SRU gets approved.

I had a sec and just took care of it. LouG, please try to apt-get update and apt-get upgrade in a few minutes (or use your package manager). It will be built and ready for testing soon!

Did apt-get update, apt-get upgrade, OpenMW had new stuff but I get the same result - an empty window frame appears for a second and then nothing. Log attached. Thanks for your efforts...

Tried again this a.m.

Do other OpenGL applications work? glxgears for example?

Yes. Half-life (wine) also runs fine.

ogre.log looks fine, and you are using all system libraries except libsdl2 which was just rebuilt in the ppa.
Did it used to work before 14.04? Do you have any other PPA repos installed?

I just installed openmw for the first time in 14.04. The only ppa enabled in synaptic is yours.
