Windows Crash -- Ogre Exception

Hi, I've been consistently crashing due to the issue below for the last few builds of OpenMW (perhaps since moving to Ogre 1.9?). This happens after an hour or so of gameplay. Ogre log is attached.

OGRE EXCEPTION(3:RenderingAPIException): Error Presenting surfaces in D3D9Device::present at ..\..\..\Source\RenderSystems\Direct3D9\src\OgreD3D9Device.cpp (line 1031)

Only happens when using DirectX -- using OpenGL leads to an immediate crash upon load. Perhaps I was a bit optimistic about playing OpenMW with the original(!) Intel HD Graphics (fps in interiors is fine, btw, and almost playable in exteriors).
