OpenMW (OS X) crashes while installing Bloodmoon

Post by clocknova »

OpenMW is consistently crashing before completion of the Bloodmoon installation. The last message that I see before the crash is something about "uncompressed packages" or something. Here is the log (see attachment):

Please tell me you are using the data1.hdr from the root of the Bloodmoon (and Morrowind) CD and not the data1.hdr from CInstall directory on the root of the CD. There are currently no sanity checks and all hdr files are considered installable.

Hi,
Can you please post the output of running the installer in a terminal?
Also, could you tell me what Edition you are using?

Yes, I am using the data files from the root directories.

EDIT:

I am using the 3-disc GOTY edition. I'm installing from images I made of the original discs.

Terminal finishes with these lines after the crash:

[_Bool unshield_reader_open_volume(UnshieldReader *, int):305] Open volume 1
[_Bool unshield_reader_open_volume(UnshieldReader *, int):402] First file index = 0, last file index = 16
[_Bool unshield_reader_open_volume(UnshieldReader *, int):404] First file offset = 00000000, last file offset = 00000000
libc++abi.dylib: terminate called throwing an exception
Abort trap: 6

Is this enough? Hopefully you don't need all 15,000 or so pages.
