Post by lazydev »

As far as I know video playing is implemented. But how to play it in game (got the last master branch).
When I start a new game, there is no video

F2 -> playbink "mw_cavern.bik" 1

Also make sure to copy videos from CD into "Data files/Video".

I can play videos as explained above, but when the clip ends I am left with the movie player onscreen, system unresponsive. The only way out seems to be open a new login screen and kill the openmw process.

Is there anything on the terminal you ran omwlauncher/openmw from? Boost 1.52 broken things pretty badly with thread behavior, which could prevent it from shutting down properly.

The Arch install provides a desktop file so I have not been running it from a cli, but I am running boost 1.52.

Tried running in a terminal and got this error after killing openmw.

Code: Select all

Sound Error: Unsupported sample format: flt
Error in framelistener: boost thread: thread not joinable: Invalid argument
Looks as if boost 1.52 is the cause.

Just seen this is already noted in thread about ffmpeg on Arch.
