fail to load esm

You could run OpenMW with the "--script-verbose" parameter to get more information

Thanks for that, it now shows up as

 compiling script: OutsideBanner
warning line 37, column 5 (endif)
    endif without matching if/elseif
but seems nothing to do with NoM as all those scripts begin NOM_.
I also entered and left the Food Route Northern Outpost nearby which a part of NoM but nothing odd showed up.

We are not interested in scripts here. This is not a scripting problem.
I tried coe to -9,8 and also to a nearby cell then walking to -9,8.
And special nothing happened? No (non-script) error message? If so, then I am out of ideas for the moment.

Nothing special that I noticed and nothing odd in any logs or in the console messages. The only things in the messages were loading/unloading cells as I moved around, the script messages and the usual
