Old D code

We still have a directory in our repository that contains pieces of the old D code. I guess to look up the implementation when rewriting it in C++ (totally unnecessary btw.; that is what git is for). It seems that all code there has been rewritten by now. So, unless someone protests, I will remove this directory next week.
