Balmora Stilt Rider issue

Post by trelaine »

Trying to take a stilt from Balmora and noticed the merchant wasn't there anymore. Seems he fell off the edge.

There is a know bug in the vanilla animations that make NPCs drift from their positions.
Greatness7 fixed that problem and you can download the fix here: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/157748 ... ry25214386

To reset the NPCs positions open the console and type RA.

I experience the same issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKHER_n2xeM

My NPC gets stuck in the wall at the base of the Silt Strider dock.

I have been struggling with this in my current Vanilla play to the point that I use `ra` as a reflex every time I enter Balmora (specially the Mages guild).
If this really fixes the problem for good, is there any change this can be included in MCP? is even MCP code available?

The problem happens with the vanilla animation files, not a code issue. I think they should be included in a future UMP.

This has been discussed before, e.g., in this thread: Playthrough observations.

You can manually position Caravanners: Here's what I have:

Balmora Caravanner
"Selvil Sareloth"->Position -21265, -18292, 1085, -1

Ald'Ruhn Caravanner
"Navam Veran" ->Position -17706, 54758, 2775, -87

Vivic Caravanner
"Adondasi Sadalvel"->Position 32141, -72102, 913, -120

Suran Caravanner
"Folsi Thendas"->Position 53159, -47655, 1117, 178

Gnisis Caravanner
"Punibi Yahaz"->Position -86739, 89275, 1030, 1

Khuul Caravanner
"Seldus Nerendus"->Position -66454, 135403, 988, 79

Hey Frik! Welcome to the forums.

Does this keep the NPCs fixed in their location? Pretty convenient.

Thanks for the welcome.

No. This just repositions them back onto their platform. As time passes, they still wander. It's an alternative to 'ra'. At times, it might be preferable to reposition NPCs individually.
