OpenMW-CS freezes whenever I try to edit any record, so I haven't been able to look at... well, anything really
I had that same issue yesterday, should be fixed in commit 6ee7c616676adbd72.

Here's a hack-ish change to get interventions to work the way julan expects. I'm pretty sure I've broken other features, so a bit more work is needed before merging into the master branch.

Don't actually try to use his Intervention without saving first though. It's broken, and I think the fix is in the next daily (in about three hours or so).

This is what I was going to look into next, since not being able to Intervention around is a huge pain. At least soon you'll be able to have Julan cast it for you.
I've received the software update for OpenMW and tried to use Julan's intervention spell, it's still doesn't work, I get teleported, but not Julan.

Yes, I notice that too, it happens outdoors, like in towns and such, but when I go indoors, it doesn't freeze.

EDIT: It sometimes freezes indoors too.

would like to report that the freezes had gotten worst, at first the game was freezing in seconds, not enough to make the game unplayable, but now, the game is freezing every 2 to 3 seconds, and each freeze is 25 seconds long, making the game unplayable.

Here's a hack-ish change to get interventions to work the way julan expects
Revised version is now in master.

A new bug has revealed itself. When the player casts intervention spell, julan follows as expected, but you are no longer able to talk to him.

Edit: this only happens when I spawn julan manually (i.e. placeatpc, "ks_julan", 1,0,0), which I did to speed up testing. Everything works fine when going the way the mod expects you to (i.e. meet julan at Ghostgate). There might be an underlying issue still. Edit2: fixed!

@Scrawl: I finally got around to testing the various Interventions, and Mark and Recall with Julan, and they work as expected! Thanks a ton! The only issues I know of now are cosmetic, and already have open tickets. I'll keep looking for them as I play through though.

@argonvegell: I forgot about the Mountainous Red Mountain patch. I've looked into it, and made a .omwaddon to fix it. You can find it attached to the first post in the thread. Make sure your load order is:

JulanOMWpatch.omwaddon
KS_Julan_MRM_Patch.ESP

I have observed that interventions and recall works if Julan and I are outside, but it doesn't work when we are inside, which is okay :)

I hope the freezing problem with be fixed.

I think I have a work around for the crazy lag spikes. Try this, with Julan following you:

save game
open console
type "toggleai"
close console
Note if lag goes away. It should
open console
type toggleai
Lag should be back
Go outside
type "player-> cast "divine intervention" player
Note if Lag goes away after Julan teleports back to you.

For some reason, this clears up the lag in mechanics on my rig. Not sure why.

Not sure how I missed that. Just checked, and it's broken like you describe. I also messed around with his telepathy ring, and it looks like it only works when both you and Julan are in external cells. I'm looking into it.

Yeah, I tried it a few times since :/ Not working, I must've done something differently before that cleared out the excess aifollows
