Yup. Conky, with Conky setup to call (and print the output of) todo.txt and gcalcli

Openbox, tilda (not seen, obviously), conky with hsbirthdays and a cat ~/.todo output, wicd.

I use awesome, with no wallpaper : my desktop is a big black screen :/

I used awesome for long time. I stopped when they released a version with a broken default setting... It is really nice however.

I've been thinking of giving xmonad a try recently. Anyone have any usability reports on that?
