Call of Red Mountain - what?

Not about OpenMW? Just about Morrowind in general? Have some random babble? Kindly direct it here.

Call of Red Mountain - what?

Looks like someone's taken what's been done on getting OpenMW working on Android and has "rebranded" it.

And there's a Kickstarter for this! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/39 ... -morrowind - thankfully looks like it failed.

Even if by some chance this isn't just OpenMW rebranded (possibly Aedra?) it doesn't make anyone look good.

"thankfully looks like it failed"

You has no heart, sir. Finally we got somebody who was dare enough to do that and make working release, unlike sandstanger with his totally coward posts about copyrights and legal blah-blah-blah no-one-cares stuff.

I actually got a chance to play with this tonight. What is there is an impressive start, but no where near as complete as OpenMW. Bravo to the dev for getting this far though.

The Good:

It runs.
It loads Morrowind.esm and renders cells.
Teleport doors work.
Some scripts seem to run alright.
NPCs render properly
Animations.

The ugly:
The controls are.... Unwieldy at best.
Player animations are odd.
Character generation is not implemented.
Attacking is not implemented.
Performance sucks. (5 fps in exteriors on my Nexus 6p)

To be a playable thing, there is work to do. However it's a pretty walking simulator that renders the vanilla visuals nicely.
