Won't work for modification status icons though.
Those do not need it. I will make it monochrome, like DMZ mouse cursor.

I must say I agree with that, but it's rather hard to pull this off when you're not that familiar with designing icons. I think sirherrbatka's icons are decent enough for now, they do look rather good for someone who just started working with inkscape and such. But later on we could use some visual artist advising us how to create our own "visual language" for the icons so to say, or have this hypothetical person do it for us.

pvdk, can you look at the potion.svg again? I think it's better.
