Guess what new package was introduced into Ubuntu...

Post by psi29a »

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openmw/0.36.1-1

Apparently Ubuntu has taken enough interest to bypass Debian rules of inclusion and directly add OpenMW to Ubuntu's repo.

Normally OpenMW will stay in experimental until 1.0, then be moved over to unstable, then testing, then stable in Debian. In addition to this, we are forced to have OpenMW in contrib and not main because there isn't any non-Bethesda IP/content for OpenMW currently.

Ubuntu normally only auto-includes when packages are in unstable, so this is an exceptional case.

According to https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=openmw, OpenMW is in Debian unstable.
