Implement movable objects

Post by Tarius »

Yes, something that I am sure would be greatly appreciated by many people: The ability to move things like chests, boxes, chairs, etc.(although, not things like shelves or even tables, possibly just containers) This is likely to be a post 1.0 feature.

Could involve physics in that if you move something to an off balance or slanted area it would fall.

Weight of the different objects would need to be decided, but whatever the weight is would need to be added to whatever is inside.

Moving things that have owned objects on them would be a no-no. I dont think moving peoples possessions would make them happy.

NPCs could have behavior implemented to move stuff if they can not get past it.

This would be great for places like player houses and getting objects out of the way if you get stuck next to them.

I'm sure people will make even make movable shelves, wardrobes, and other random home decorating mods. But as you said it's a post 1.0 feature I guess.

If half of the stuff we are dreaming will become reality the next big hit of TES will be OpenMW... cool idea.
