Playing a notification sound might be a better way to signify that the picture was taken when you want to take a lot of screenshots in a row. Especially if we can turn off the visual notification now.

I'm still getting the message when I take screenshots. I'm using OpenMW version 0.43.0 Revision: 35d68f038d.

0.43 was released in 2017, this conversation takes place in 2018... correct me if I'm wrong, but is 'upstream' meaning it is in master but not yet released?

Yes, please add a sound effect to at least have some feedback.

In the meantime, I have added OpenMW to Steam, as a non Steam game, in order to use their screen shots feature.
