Keep it simple guys. Every feature adds a little bit of extra complexity to code that needs to be maintained. It is sometimes rational to ignore some things.

I agree. Going by title, 'Resting for 100 thousand hours nonstop' is probably the most ridiculous feature request so far :lol: though getting out of an (unintentional) situation like that should possibly be addressed somehow.

I haven't tested it, but can you try opening the Console and type 'toggleMenus'? (On current master, I don't think it'll work before the GUI overhaul commits). This should, in theory, remove the neverending progress bar and let you continue playing. The same method can, I think, be used to get out of a dialogue choice loop.
