Amazing work jirka, I can't wait to try it out when I get home (I hope I'm competent enough to get it working).
I love how you added the width option for it which wasn't a requirement :)

PM me on how you'd like to receive your quest reward ;)

I'll start working on a mod that adds descriptions for all armors and weapons as a start, using the already existing lore (from books, NPCs) as much as possible. After that I can hopefully get our literature/lore people to work on the texts for TR and PT items.

I like bounties and I already use bountysource to support a project with monthly donations.
But I think they are usefull here only if they are approved by the team and they allign with the "1.0 Goals".

This one "kind of" is included in "Improve the interface and journal system.", even when the feature does not exisit in Vanilla. But what would happen if people start creating bounties that make no sense?

Another problem we had with the bounty system at the start is that we do not want to create any appearance of accepting money for use of Bethesda assets. While OpenMW has a goal of being an engine that future games can run on, right now it only really runs one game, and it's a pre-existing commercial game with very strong associations with the engine (to say the least). Too much flow of cash gets lawyers' attention. This feature works well for a bounty; it's something that game developers can benefit a great deal from, but doesn't involve implementing functionality that would step on Bethesda's toes, since it's an entirely new function. After 1.0, some bounties become more feasible as (hopefully) more third party games for the engine exist.

We'd really love to start working with this feature, so we'd be interested to know if this is something that the OpenMW team is willing to merge for Tamriel Rebuilt sometime soon? Or is there any problem with merging this into the official OpenMW build?

See https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/pull/1075

It appears that we are waiting for Zini's approval/opinion on this.
Scrawl wrote:Zini should weigh in on this, but from what I remember, the plan was to keep the ESM format compatible with the vanilla game until after version 1.0, so the changes to the format would be out of the question for now.

Well, Zini has been notably absent the last weeks. I hope that this has to do with the positive RL developments he mentioned once. -- At least, he has been online last week, meaning he is still out there.

Yeah probably. I was thinking of bumping that thread and ask if he could talk about it yet, but I restrained myself since I would just be irritating if I did... Can't help it, but I'm curious. :)

Neat feature, how can I missed this thread last time.
So this feature is put on hold until post 1.0, and we already have a pull request. https://github.com/OpenMW/openmw/pull/1075

In the vanilla engine , MWSE modders created something similar already[https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods]. So if we want this to be available for OpenMW, we can either support MWSE or merge this instead.
