zilav has successfully ported most of Oblivion to the Skyrim engine and he managed to replace the SpeedTrees with vanilla placeholder trees. Maybe he would know how to get placeholder trees to show up in the same places?

It would be incredibly funny that this ends up looking and played better than Oblivion. ;)

Project OpenMorroblivion or OpenMO :P

Yeah! I just imagine when the people in Morroblivion/Skyblivion discover that branch.
Maybe is time to get their attention. A new wave of developers could benefit OpenMW and help them get out of the unofficial side of the Force.

Using Morrowind's existing "interiors as exteriors" system, or is this a new feature (to be) implemented in OpenMW-CS?

Oblivion seems to have multiple exterior locations which are detailed in WRLD records. These tend to be larger than your typical interior locations but not as large as the whole region. e.g. oblivion wasteland

Not sure if you understood my question.

Has multiple worldspace support actually been added to OpenMW-CS, or is it faking it?

It is only in my branch, and sure to have bugs, but not fake (as in, the cells have x/y coordinates just like normal exterior ones)

cc9cii you are a hero for making multiple worldspaces. This is very surprising though that we are getting Oblivion before even drag and drop to scene in OpenMW-CS. I hope we will eventually get some Oblivion-level or better combat system.
