Daggerfall 2

Post by AshSlave » 27 Sep 2012, 09:00

How hard would be to return features of Daggerfall (e.g. world in real scale)? How different engines of Morrowind and Daggerfall are? Is there any chance that later someone will combine those two games, or it's too much even for the most enthusiastic enthusiast?

Completly different.

First of we would need a lot of random generetors that are not present in morrowind in any form... I do hope we can get this at some point but this is a distant future and it's hard to tell if it actually ever happen.

I know and follow it too. But it's quite sad that Morrowind, when it was released, didn't manage to maintain all of Daggerfall's features. And now these projects develop separately. I would really like to see it as a one big game someday. But I don't know how it works and what it will take.

It's because it has not been randomly generated that Morrowind gets this unique feeling in every place...
If we want a bigger area to play, we just need to support Tamriel Rebuilt !

Daggerfall is huge, OK, but no place feels unique.

Not everyone (and not every time) wants the feeling of unique. Would it really be so unpleasant for you to see that beloved world not only have unique things, but also huge world where you can just live and do everyday things? Generated world more suited for this.
As for me, I just want Morrowind to be more complete. There is no features of Daggerfall not because it will certainly damage originality of the world, but because at that time combining it was too hard and risky. But what about now?
Still, those who want Daggerfall's features can play Daggerfall, so hardly this combination will ever happen.
