Yes, it's definitely post-post 1.0 feature. ))
This would be a great skill implementation and huge gameplay addition for assassin/thief class.

Just ask the guys programming for the game Starforge. They are doing parkour style movement that is physical and non-statebased(I believe).
I am a bigger fan of tons of control rather than taking the "user-friendly" approach.
