As far as I´m concerned, the Example Suite is currently licensed under CC-BY-SA-3.0.

You're both correct.

The ES is CC-BY-SA 3.0 and the Template is CC-BY 3.0

The reason is to keep the Template as 'free' as possible so that others can build their own game... for fun or profit under another license.

The ES on the other hand, we want the SA so that there is something that comes back into the ES from other forks if we want it.
