Hello, it's Hrnchamd.
Antoine messaged me, and I feel like contributing. I will be supplying reverse engineering gameplay information only, to ensure the mechanics match Morrowind's exact implementation.
By the way, the subforum sticky post links to a 404 page, you should update it to point to the working page at http://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title= ... ion_Wanted.
Application
Re: Application
Welcome Hrnchamd!
Great to have someone with your knowledge of the inner workings of Morrowind aboard. Make sure you register to the Wiki group in the User Control Panel to be able to edit the Formulae page on our wiki.

I'm excited you're joining us. We now have the start to a really legitimate reverse engineering team! There are four or five other people working on this as well and I'm sure you'll help speed up development. Thanks for your participation with OpenMW and the work you've already done for the Morrowind community. To help get you up to speed:
The wiki page on formulaes http://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title=Formulae
Formulas thread under general discussion http://forum.openmw.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=766
Under the developement subforum you can find formulas that currently being researched.

Hey Hrnchamd! It would be a great help if you gave the movement formulas a once-over.
What I mean by this is: Athletics and Acrobatics formulas which are, or inform greatly on, the movement/jump formulas for walking, running, sneaking and swimming.
I think we have a great majority of these formulas close to accurate, but if you can proof them or improve their accuracy, that would be greatly appreciated!
I consider these the most important to getting the original feeling of Morrowind right, whereas the formulas for other things, such as armorer or alchemy come secondary. To me at least, I don't know if everyone else feels the same.
You can find our work so far under the various threads attributed to formulas.

Re: Application
Yes, the stuff involving acrobatics will be of great interest to see that they are accurate.
We have already come up with an equation that produces a jump velocity very close to what MW does.(the jump height ends up being accurate to within .3 units or something like that) Now we have someone come along telling us we missed the use of a couple GMSTs. If they are doing what I think, I believe only some tweaking is needed(basic structure stays the same) but that is yet to be seen.
(well, while I have helped some and refined the formula a bit, Epsilon is the one doing most of the work plus others)
