I emailed apo (debian maintainer of the bullet package) about Bullet 2.86 a few days ago and today it landed into Debian. :)

Thanks apo!

I'll see about making a 'patch' of Scrawl's OSG fork and see if I can get it included into Debian :)

@Scrawl: When do you think OSG-3.6 will be released?

Bullet 2.86 is now live on our ppa: https://launchpad.net/~openmw/+archive/ ... /+packages

Next release should have all the fixes in place.

My post about the new libOSGs and the water shader can be ignored. I wasn't building the OSG png reader, which meant that the water shader's normalmap couldn't be loaded.

Something has been broken in Ace's setup and as of now, he hasn't found a moment to fix it.
It's more convenient to download them here, by the way.
You can setup a development environment and compile everything yourself from source, but while it's ez pz on Linux, really, it takes less than half a hour to set up an environment and 25 minutes of that is the first

Code: Select all

Thanks. I will just wait for Ace to fix his build system. In the mean time, I will bug him about it :)

New OSG with scrawl's patches are on the PPA.

To use both bullet and osg, do a full rebuild otherwise 'bad things' happen. ;)
