The latest RC candidate will likely be the 'real' release, but if you really want the 'real' release then you'll have to uninstall the RC version and install the 'real' version from ppa:openmw/openmw

I'm still plugging away at the changelog, I think Atahualpa is slowly working on the video as well?

One of the Windows builds is tested, can we get some testing on the Linux Binaries and the OS X package? If you've downloaded and tried them, please let us know!

Any way that Scrawl's physics fix could be back-ported to 0.41 ?

Just did a test run through creating a new game. Just the vanilla game + expansions, no mods.

Just after create new game:
Warning: controller R2_Claw02 present more than once in meshes/r/xsiltstrider.kf, ignoring later version
About the time I excited the boat and looked around, I got this message:
Error in MWWorld::ContainerStore::addInitialItem: Object 'imperial cuirass' of type N3ESM8BodyPartE can not be placed into a container

this showed up a short time later:

I am still running the daily master, and I am running a few more plugins than you, but I did a quick run, and I am seeing:

Yep! "Slowly" descibes it perfectly. I'll upload the scripts as soon as possible.

@psi29a, those warnings are the Morrowind files' fault, nothing wrong with the engine there.

Good idea, I've backported the physics performance fix, don't think it could break anything. New RCs please!
