Well the only differences between the RC and release packages are the package name and that the release packages are built with the tagged source (which wasn't different to RC2 this time anyway iirc),

Build options and library versions are the same for 32 and 64 Bit packages.

So yes all packages should have assert enabled.

Crap? I have no idea what is going on there. Can anyone else confirm this situation? Let's make absolutely sure this is not some kind of mix up, before we go to full panic mode.
