I don't know where this should come from, but it doesn't come with direct x 9 as installed from the ms website (or from a couple of old dx9 games I have lying around with an offline installer).

Sorry for resurrecting a post a few pages back (just started reading the forums again) but this issue has been present for some time now. I got around it by installing the DirectX SDK.

Thanks for the info, I'll give this a go when I get a chance. Do you need the directx 9 sdk or will the latest do?

Presumably this isn't right though, the game should depend on the dx runtime not on the sdk (which looks like a 600mb download).

Known Issues:
- Extreme shaking may occur during cell transitions for some users (enable anti-aliasing as a possible workaround)
- Launcher crash on OS X < 10.8
- Polish version of Morrowind.esm makes OpenMW crash

Maybe you should add to the list of known issues for Windows that you need to install the DirectX 9 SDK, not just the runtime.

Are the fixes for 0.24 going to be merged with master? I saw a bugfix pull request being merged for a launcher problem I fixed 10 days ago.
