The letter is ready, but I need the emails of people who still work at Bethesda. Most of the main developers left. If we managed to contact them and convince them, then they'd have to talk to their former employers and convince them to release the formulas on our behalf.
Anyone want to do some digging around and find usable emails for me?

Why not just PM staff on the site?ElderTroll wrote:The letter is ready, but I need the emails of people who still work at Bethesda. Most of the main developers left. Email wise I think would be the worst possible way. I sent an email to insomniac about 3 months ago and got an email back TODAY! No joke.
Re: Morrowind Equations
Here is todd's account on bethesda's forum.
We can also try this contact form.
Since bethesda's employee emails are not "widely available" on the Internet, we can try to guess them.
Maybe something like [email protected] ?

Yeah, sure, it's not the most used means of communication in the world. Who uses this piece of crap ?Email wise I think would be the worst possible way.
Re: Morrowind Equations
Just look in the MW credits and search for the peoples names. Any serious developer has his own web page that showcases his stuff.

Re: Morrowind Equations
Anyone willing to take that task?
Re: Morrowind Equations
@Tarius : Unfortunately, many Morrowind's developers don't :/
Re: Morrowind Equations
Well you probably know Craig Walton was the lead programmer, and this is the rest:
Guy Carver, Scott Franke, Ahn Hopgood, Chris Innanen, Mat Krohn, Mike Lipari, Steve Meister, Matt Picioccio, Kerry Sergent
I'll try to search on whom of them is still employed by Bethesda, but still couldn't find any contact info... :S
Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to just open up a topic on their forums, and wait for "ANY" developer to reply.

Re: Morrowind Equations
Guys, don't forget Morrowind development stuff is very likely going to be archived and the developers won't still have the formulas written on the palm of their hand.
Even though some formulas is quite small, they will require some sort of permission to share this stuff.
You need to find and convince someone who can go through all the correct channels and get the stuff dug up and acquire permissions from whoever.
I am not familiar with the bethesda community involvement but I think it would be best directing the request at an employee(s) who is publicly in touch with the community (community manager), who has been around the traps at bethesda and has a particular fancy for Morrowind.
You could do it publicly in a thread somewhere so that the request won't just disappear into and ignored pm or email.
This as opposed to randomly contacting some developer via a 'not advertised email address' and hope that they give a toss about some random dude asking for the formulas from a game he was involved in 10 years ago.

Re: Morrowind Equations
Both approaches are good. If people want to send out more messages to past developers, the letter is available here.
http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/137987 ... -bethesda/
If you do send an email, tell us on the forums so that multiple OpenMW folks don't spam these developers.
