It does seem a bit counterintuitive in some ways when you first see it without knowing why it's called what it is. I don't know how many years I spent calling it Wyre Mash, or its Oblivion and Skyrim counterpart Wyre Bash. :lol:

It's actually named after its original creator. He goes by the name Wrye, and styles himself the Monkey God of Modding. He also heavily encouraged a FOSS-style attitude toward modding, in addition to creating some of the most useful tools that exist for doing everything under the sun to moddable games. All in all, pretty cool guy by the sounds.
