Former Project Manager

Post by ElderTroll » 31 Jan 2012, 06:10

I was wondering what happened to Nicolay Korslund. Does he plan on returning to OpenMW in the future? Is there a thread I could read about his decision to stop developing the engine or was his absence sudden and unexplained? It's too bad losing a project lead. I hope he's doing well, he started something awesome.

The answer is simple: we have no clue.

When did he leave the project?

I can't say, my memory is not that good. But it's around 1,5 year from now.

I think it was more like 7 or 8 months ago. He literally disappeared off the internet, I hope he is well, but we have no way of knowing...

I would like to know what happened to Nico too. He has a Google+ here so that means he did not completely disappear off the web. His twitter is inactive and seems to have automatically tweeted news topics from the old forum, including spam threads.

I have found an adress so we could go visit him :)

Corristo's name is also Nicolay, but I don't think they are the same people, as his patriarchal name doesn't appear to be Korslund. ;)

Anyways, I think Nicolay Korslund is working on an indie game distribution platform called Tiggit. website: http://tiggit.net/

I found this out by doing some Google snooping.

Brilliant find. I think his new project sounds awesome. I emailed him and hopefully he'll respond.
