Bug report

Post by JoeJoe »

Hi first time post and first time openmw player, loving it so far great job I'm playing on Linux.

Anyway... what I found is a that when paying for training in my heavy armour skill it wouldn't let me train above level 43. It says I cannot train above my governing attribute but my endurance is level 70. I chose "the lady" as my birthsign because it gives a 20 point boost if that's relevant. Rather annoying because I always power level strength and endurance to level 100 to get max health and carry space at the start of the game. I hope you can fix it for the next release.

Also I'm using a 360 controller and there is no way to control the mouse pointer speed which is very important as the interface is very mouse pointer heavy. I'd like to use the right stick as well but that's just what I used with xpadder on windows so I can live without that.

I hope this is the right place to report bugs. i had a browse but didn't see another option but feel free to tell me off if it's not.

Thanks,
Joe

Welcome! This is the correct location for reporting bugs: https://bugs.openmw.org/
Please read this beforehand though for bug reporting guidelines: https://wiki.openmw.org/index.php?title ... Guidelines

Someone more familiar will probably be able to help you more than I, but I believe there may be a bug regarding the Lady birthsign. Regardless though, 20 less than 70 is still 50, which is higher than 43 so it still seems that is not correct. Do you have any enchanted or spell effects other than the Lady boosting your endurance?

As to your pointer speed, does this setting not adjust things for you? http://openmw.readthedocs.io/en/master/ ... ensitivity
We're hoping to get a new console style interface sometime soon after our 1.0 release, but for now I think this is your best bet.
