No Xbox GUI. Can we change sensitivity for UI navigation?

Even though imo this game plays better with a controller given the lack in needing to have any precision in combat, I understand this is currently a "post 1.0 feature" and I'd make the ui myself if it wasn't a very difficult feature to make. Is it possible to change the sensitivity of the stick on the controller only during UI is on the screen? maybe that will make ui navigation with the controller good enough for now.

guesswork but sdlinputwrapper.css is full of warp functions so external mapper program might do it. gamecontroller.txt .. if remember correctly from macOS questions should have the keyinput for it.
