New Linnus (Shadow of Rappel)

Post by OpenMicroWave »

A dark open world first person adventure rpg built on the OpenMW engine, New Linnus takes place in a large city of medieval castlehouses and towers. With the nights stretching longer and the land barely yielding crop, people have begun to resort to cannibalism in order to survive. Meanwhile, the Church of Taara has gone on a full-on crusade to eradicate the source of darkness, but no matter how many witch hunts conducted the shadow over the land persists. It is time for a change of tactics. For a person with no public ties to the church to infiltrate the cultists hiding in the shadows.

Sounds good actually. I like that you'll drop someone into a 'war-zone' and that you're there to cleanup.

No "go to this dungeon to fetch this item at the end" at the very least, since we´re in a city.

Who´d have thought that a fetch quest would be so high in demand? There are no sewers on the map as of yet, but we do have a graveyard with catacombs.

I might have NPCs functional soon, so I´ve been thinking about dialogue structure. Thus far I´ve come up with something along the lines of the following.

Click on topic. NPC spits out some dialogue, you then get 4 ways to respond:

{Good]
[Faithful]
[Sarcastic]
[Thieving]
[Evil]
[Dumb] (low intelligence)
{Silent] (say nothing)
[Uncaring] (exit conversation)

So you basically have 8 different ways to interact when given the choice. Is there anything more I should add for better roleplay purposes?
