Probably just verify that we're doing all of the formulas and format handling correctly, and then proceed with life as usual. We're too far along and too invested in the libraries we are using now (which is not a bad thing) to start over by modifying the released source.

Some of the original MW coding is rather awful (*cough* script compiler and VM *cough*) and I doubt that anything of it is future proof (extensible and able to support multiple modern platforms). Most likely the original code would be completely useless, except for reverse engineering purpose (formula and such)
