Observations on 0.33 and osx builds

Post by gvas »

Hello and congrats again
0.33 is really a breath of fresh air because one of the major game issues (for me at least) is gone
NPC who didn't cast spells now do. And this is a HUGE Step forward. This was one of the most game experience destroying things and now it's gone! Very nice

Rain is better also, but far from perfect I think there should be a bit more raindrops, but a bit thinner than now. Anyway this is a tuning matter.

I was very anxius to test the 0.33 version but very lazy too to build it myself, So after an inner struggle I got down to it and made 2 release builds for OSX, and I thought maybe someone else wants to try 0.33 and is to lazy or lacks technical knowledge to build it. So I decided to share it. The one is optimized for my computer, but should work better for any mac > 2008
The other is non optimized generic build
The normal build is here
https://kickass.to/openmw-0-33-0-darwin ... 49977.html
And the optimized (-O3 -mtype=core2 -msse4.1) is here
https://kickass.to/openmw-0-33-0-darwin ... 49901.html
They reflect openmw master branch as of 23/10/2014 Use at your own risc

FYI, you could always find RC builds into corresponding forum topic: http://forum.openmw.org/viewtopic.php?f ... =70#p28372 (we have a separate topic before each release).

I don't provide optimized builds (yet?) so thank you!

Well you might not have full implementation of the Original yet but it looks more stable. I am Bloody Impressed! :ugeek:
