I created that group because I expected at least a few bots to make their way into the forum. With the group there, it would be more difficult for them to spam the wiki than the forums. If we continue to be bot-free, I'll make it so that any registered user can edit the wiki.
Until then, it just requires a few extra clicks to get through.
