Re: tying powers to real time instead of gametime
Isn't resting a thing in Morrowind? Why not just do that to pass the time when you want to use your powers again?

Re: Unreal Engine 4
I wouldn't hold your breath there; until UE4 announced native Linux support (probably part of the WebGL move away from DirectX), Epic was really disappointing me for a while. I'm not a Linux user, but I massively prefer OpenGL to DirectX, because I don't want another operating system "upgrade&q...

Re: Multithreading Oblivion
I believe Oblivion has some minor attempts to support multicore stuff that cause instantaneous CTD's and freezes; the problem remains in Fallout 3 (but fixed by New Vegas), and impacts every rig I've ever run the games on, though there is a config line to fix it which disables what little use of mul...

Re: Time scale modification
Console commands can do this without mods in vanilla Morrowind, if I'm not mistaken, and I'm sure the same command will be replicated in OpenMW if it's not there already.

Re: Oculus Rift purchased by Facebook
To a certain degree, it's not even the being bought by Facebook that I mind so much as the fact that Oculus Rift was really only ever worthy of note in my mind for being an independent start-up, but now that it's sold out there's no reason why I won't just jump on board the best VR solution offered ...

Re: Kingdom Come: Deliverance
As a hobbyist medievalist in addition to other things I've eagerly awaited something like this. I've enjoyed Mount and Blade since the day it was released, but this looks more like my forte (single-character focus in-depth RPG) and I'm eagerly awaiting it. If only I had money.

Re: Unreal Engine 4
However, having looked at UE4 as a mostly-non-coder I might prefer it, especially since it has that visual block-based functionality that I understand to be similar to MIT Scratch. EDIT: Found this in the EULA Yes, the EULA is very liberal in this regard. It doesn’t contain a Non-Disclosure Agreemen...

Re: Unreal Engine 4
CRYENGINE (itself theoretically in its fourth iteration) is also available with a subscription and a free plan. It seems to be the access method of the future, and it's an interesting one. I'm not a fan of having to subscribe to a tool, but versus the $3600 for Maya (which is like $200 a month) it's...

Re: Has anyone thought about making a 2 player co-op mod?
I mean, to be brutally fair, Morrowind isn't a game in which every action has a narrative impact. Many actions do, but co-op will likely be just adding in a second sword and you'll likely be responsible for sorting out who gets what loot and how you develop the story yourself. It'll be interesting t...
