Re: OpenMW and sureai "Arktwend"

I don't think that's correct. I believe Arktwend uses many Morrowind assets and relies on Morrowind to be installed.

But yeah, ideally OMW should be able to run any mod that MW can.

This sounds like a good use case for multires.

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.13

Hey, JohnDH, I find it funny you complain about the progress of the ES while you didn't do anything to help for a while. I find it funny how nobody starting off with "I find it funny" actually means that. ;) I contributed the humanoid rig and a detailed and articulated human model. That o...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.13

You know I never actually said it was supposed to be a parkour game, right? I said racing platformer, and then when you misunderstood what I meant, I clarified that I'm not talking about an actual parkour simulation but rather a very simple platformer, but somehow you're still going with "total...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.13

To change the camera behavior to that of a Diablo clone you need to change the source code. The same with proper parkour platformer. I have it on good authority that the camera is controlled by the "Camera" object. Unless I'm missing something, repositioning the camera would take a few se...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.13

But OpenMW is not a racing platformer engine. It´s a first person open world RPG engine. We should demo it for what it is in my opinion and forget strange minigames that don´t fit into OpenMW´s capabilities. You've already got running and jumping. All you'd have to do is a little(?) scripting to ad...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.13

<snip /> That sounds pretty quirky, and I like quirky. :) I've been thinking back to when we were talking about making different kinds of games with OMW (I think you suggested a platformer at some point), rather than TES-likes, and eventually I'd like to see an ES that shows these various different...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.13

I think this is missing the point because you´re looking at this from a player´s perspective. You want something new refreshing to play, a game that involves around a tropical island? I'm also looking at it from a creator's perspective. The idea of making variations of cruciform arming sword doesn'...

Re: OpenMW Example Suite 0.13

Sorry if this sounds overly critical, but is it really necessary to take an interesting tropical island locale and make it as generic as possible by returning to the same bland psuedo-medieval-European setting that something like 90% of western (and many eastern) RPGs use? There's nothing instrinsic...

Re: Graphics glitch when outside

That means there's a mesh that can't be displayed. Do you get any error messages related to this? Are you running any mods?
